Ghanaian singer and songwriter OliveTheBoy, celebrated for his chart-topping single ‘GoodSin,’ has unveiled a deluxe edition of his Avana EP, now available for streaming and download on major digital platforms.

The deluxe edition features a series of singles, including a remix of the hit ‘GoodSin’ featuring King Promise from Ghana and Nigeria’s Oxlade and Reekado Banks, along with new tracks ‘Asylum’ and ‘Home Alone.’ With a total of eight songs, two more than the original collection, Avana effortlessly blends various pop genres, showcasing OliveTheBoy’s versatility in Afrobeats and R&B.

The opening track, ‘Asylum,’ captivates with its exciting narrative of romance, reminiscent of the theme in his breakthrough single ‘GoodSin.’ OliveTheBoy proves his artistry extends beyond a single hit, delivering groovy and exciting beats in ‘Asylum.’

A standout track for me is ‘Home Alone,’ featuring a catchy beat that had me dancing from the first stomp. The song radiates excitement, making it a personal favorite on the album.

Prior to the release OliveTheBoy, born Joel Osei Bonsu, expressed his anticipation and confidence in the project. He shared, “The greatest feeling I have right now is anticipation in the sense that I know I’m going to achieve a lot with my project. I’m excited about it and I think it’s going to do good. I believe in the songs so much.”

Reflecting on his success since the breakout single ‘GoodSin’ and his signing with Sony Music’s Columbia Records in August 2023, OliveTheBoy remains humble, expressing gratitude to God. He emphasized, “There’s a lot more to attain even though I’m thankful to God. Even before we dropped ‘GoodSin’ and the Avana EP, we believed in the project and knew it was going to do good.”

OliveTheBoy continues to shine as one of Ghana’s brightest emerging stars, recently earning inclusion in Apple Music’s Up Next artist development programme. The Avana EP Deluxe Edition solidifies his position as a dynamic artist with promising potential in the global music scene.
